Curcumin's improvement and treatment of gastric cancer

The effect of curcumin on gastric cancer cells
Curcumin is a phenolic pigment extracted from the tubers of traditional Chinese medicine turmeric and turmeric. It has anti-inflammatory, anti-oxidant, scavenging free radicals and anti-tumor effects. The mechanism of curcumin on gastric cancer is as follows: 1. Directly kill gastric cancer cells. Studies at home and abroad have confirmed that curcumin can inhibit the proliferation of gastric cancer cells in vitro, and is dose- and time-dependent within a certain range. 2. Regulate the cycle of gastric cancer cells. Curcumin will change the morphology of gastric cancer cells and inhibit the proliferation of gastric cancer cells, and block the division cycle of gastric cancer cells. 3. Induce the apoptosis of gastric cancer cells. Many studies have confirmed that curcumin can activate the mitochondrial pathway and the endoplasmic reticulum pathway, induce the apoptosis of gastric cancer cells, and play a tumor-killing effect. 4. Curcumin can overcome drug resistance, and when combined with other chemotherapy drugs, it can enhance the killing effect of chemotherapy drugs on gastric cancer cells.
