Study on the anti-lung cancer effect of curcumin
Curcumin is a yellow pigment extracted from the rhizome of the ginger family plant turmeric. Studies have found that curcumin can effectively inhibit the proliferation of lung cancer cells, thereby laying a good foundation for its use in clinical medical research. Because of its strong anti-tumor effect, it has attracted the attention of many scholars. The main molecular mechanisms of curcumin's anti-lung cancer effect include inhibition of lung cancer cell proliferation, induction of lung cancer cell death, arrest of cell cycle progression, anti-angiogenesis, and activation of intracellular second messengers.
